Today was a bit of a disappointment as the house that we really liked got an offer. Nothing is official but it looks like we won’t get it. We are just not prepared to make a contingency offer, nor do I want to enter any sort of bidding war in a market where there are lots of houses available. I have just got to believe that there is something better that God has in store for us. Tomorrow we have some people looking at our house for the 2nd time. This is hopeful. This past weekend I had a goodbye party with the church staff. My buddy Mike made some of his famous ribs, my assistant made a nice cake for us, I got this as a gift from our financial person, and I got to play a Wii for the first time. It is starting to feel pretty real now as today I packed up much of the stuff from my office. On Monday we also found a great school for our second grader. Everything is falling into place. If you are reading this please pass up a prayer for us to sell our house soon. Thanks.
My Friend Andy’s House

My buddy Andy’s house got hit by the tornado this week. I am so thankful that his nice family is ok. Sean blogs about Andy here. I want to echo the following sediments.
I just received an email from my friend Andy Jack. He lives in Illinois, and his house was just hit by a tornado. He and his family are fine, but their house was banged up pretty good. There’s a lot of repair work that needs to be done, and his youth group kickoff is just around the corner. He’s the junior high guy for a very large group of kids, which means there’s a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. Please be praying for Andy, his wife Kathy and their daughter Emma.
